ENERGY STAR Benchmarking & Rating

EcoGreenHotel offers a service to benchmark hotels by utilizing ENEGY STAR Portfolio Manager. With major Chains such as Marriott recognizing the Energy Star platform and making it mandatory for all properties to receive their score - this has been one of our top services we offer.

 

 Section 1: Scope of Work

EcoGreenHotel (EGH) shall prepare manage and administer all duties associated in the process to deliver an accurate Energy Star Performance Statement with rating. This includes uploading all data onto Energy Star’s Portfolio Manager (ESPM) system. Client ("Purchaser") will cooperate in the preparation and shall furnish all pertient information for the completion of the ESPM system upload including:

• Energy and fuel usage billing data for the most current rolling 12 month period^{1 2}
• Water and sewer usage billing data (if applicable) for the most current rolling 12 month period^{1 2}
• Property Fact Sheet Information¹
• Occupancy percentage for the last 12 month period (i.e. Star Report)
• All other relevant data needed for benchmarking as requested by EGH
• Establish your property's baseline
• Generate your property's ENERGY STAR score and report!

Section 2: Cancelation

In the case EGH does not receive the necessary data for the completion of the work for over four weeks from the Purchaser and EGH has made every effort in requesting this information, under such circumstances, EGH may at its option terminate this Agreement without refund.

Section 3: Acceptance

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, and intending to be legally bound, upon purchase through EcoGreenHotel Store the parties (Purchaser and EGH) hereto are in agreement to all terms and conditions stated here.

¹ Pertinent data needed for ESPM system upload must be provided within 2 weeks from the date of purchase by Purchaser. EGH is not liable for any delivery delays if data isn’t provided in a timely manner.

² For new construction, provide at least data for the most current 12-month period. If this data isn’t available, Purchaser allows EGH to estimate data usage and cost as per EGH’s established methodology. Purchaser is responsible for updating ESPM with actual data once received.

** Base price of this service starts at $299 for a 100 room property with three utility meters.

Details of ENERGY STAR Benchmarking:

• Allows hotels of all types (provided it’s atleast 5000 sq ft) to benchmark and track energy performance
• Properties are scored on a 1-100 scale, relative to similar properties nationwide
• Ratings take into account weather, building size, and other operational characteristics
• Hotels achieving a score of 75 or higher are eligible to earn the ENERGY STAR, indicating they have achieved a superior level of energy performance

• Marriott International is engaged in an organization-wide benchmarking effort and has earned the ENERGY STAR for more than 275 hotel properties across the country.
