Canada's largest food festival, Dine Out Vancouver, is back to celebrate its 10th year, offering locals and visitors the chance to sample the city's finest fare at discounted prices. From January 20th through February 5th, 2012, Vancouver restaurants are offering specially priced pre-fixe dinner menus, which include a starter, entree and dessert.
Guests of the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel won't have to travel far from this Vancouver Airport hotel to get in on the foodie action. The hotel's very own American Grille is participating in Dine Out Vancouver for its third year, offering a $55 pre-fixe dinner menu for only $28 per person.
This special menu features a number of delicious options. To start, choose between a garlic soup chive souffle, jumbo scallops with couscous and fig salad or a flank steak salad with candied walnuts. Main course dishes including grilled ahi tuna with warm potato salad, braised lamb shank and butternut squash agnolotti with oven-roasted tomatoes. Waiters will be happy to suggest wine pairings, which have been specially selected for these dishes. To close out your delectable meal, select from the banana walnut cake, calamansi and passion fruit sorbet or the poached Peach Melba.
The American Grille has been recognized for having both the best business lunch and the best hotel lounge by Richmond News, and has been awarded with one grand gold medal, four gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal by the BC Chefs Association Culinary Competition.
