The Golden Arrow and the village of Lake Placid are rolling out the red carpet with great family events: including making Gingerbread Houses at Generations restaurant at the Golden Arrow. Other highlights of the weekend include a free skating party (with free skate rentals) at the Lake Placid Olympic Center, Santa's arrival by fire truck on Main Street, free classic holiday movies at the Palace movie theatre on Main Street including the Polar Express, strolling carolers, holiday food tastings at area restaurants, and the pinnacle event: the tree lighting in the village's lakeside park with the Lake Placid school chorus.
