Historic Hotel, New Casino and Resort Transportation to Feature Eaton Innovative Power Management Technologies
CLEVELAND, Jul 26, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that The Greenbrier has selected Eaton to provide a range of energy-efficient technologies as the resort's exclusive supplier of power management solutions. Eaton technologies including Uninterruptible Power Systems, electrical switchgear, hydraulic equipment and hybrid power transportation systems will help the historic Greenbrier reduce energy requirements and improve efficiency during this week's Greenbrier Classic golf tournament and beyond.
"From the resort's new casino to the historic hotel and the shuttle buses and vans that transport guests, Eaton will be helping The Greenbrier manage power more efficiently, reliably and safely," said Jeffrey Krakowiak, Eaton senior vice president -- Sales and Marketing. "We'll bring our expertise in a wide range of building and transportation technologies, including electrical, hydraulic and hybrid, to support The Greenbrier's energy efficiency goals."
In addition to the Power Management relationship, Eaton is a Presenting Partner in the inaugural Greenbrier Classic tournament in West Virginia, which runs July 26 -- August 1 as part of the PGA TOUR FedExCup series. Consistent with Eaton's heritage of supporting communities, the company will participate in The Greenbrier's charitable giving program that benefits local organizations.
Current projects within Eaton's Power Management relationship with The Greenbrier include providing electrical equipment for the resort's newly opened casino; supplying hybrid power systems for shuttle buses and vans as existing vehicles are replaced; providing a comprehensive energy analysis of resort facilities; and supplying electrical and hydraulic equipment and services as other needs are identified.
